A Caring Hand's mission is to meet bereaved children and families wherever they are in their grief and fulfill their needs in a caring and knowledgeable environment through services to help them with their emotional journey and financial assistance to aid their future education. 50% of the youth under age 21 in an urban inner city were found to experience the sudden unexpected death of a close relative or friend. The children and families of New York City do not have to be alone in their grief. Children, teens and families who have experienced the death of someone special now have a caring place to seek help, hope, and healing in New York City thanks to A Caring Hand, The Billy Esposito Bereavement Program. We are able to provide bereavement services and educational scholarships due to the support of individuals, donors, and sponsors who believe bereaved children and families deserve to have hope for a brighter future.  Our program includes individual and group services and consultation on all grief-related issues.
